In other news, as many of you know, Salon Space will be hosting a fashion show to benefit AIDs Project New Haven. Salon Space will be teaming up with Camouflage, Simply Couture, and Demelis for the event. Stay tuned to learn the details of the event, which will be taking place this coming October. Thank you to all those who have donated to this cause.

Up and coming “Doll House Collection

Salon Space began shooting for their new “Doll House collection” this week. Inspired by the new trends this year, Salon Space family is in the progress of capturing their new collection of rich colors and hair movement. This new collection will be featured in our in-salon Gallery that currently holds the “Box Collection”.

Haven’t had your chance to get in the box yet? Don’t worry, the “Box Collection” is an ongoing signature collection of Salon Space and is always open to anyone who wants to “get in the Box!” as Margi would say. The box shots can still be viewed at their new home in Margi’s studio at Salon Space.

For those that haven’t had the chance to stop in and see our space, the gallery consists of 24”by 36” prints that hang throughout the salon’s 12 foot high walls amongst silver urban fittings.

This past Wednesday, June 9th, Greg Carbone of Early Grace Productions (201) 286-1928 came down from Dirty Jersey to film a live video of the salon and photography studio. We are in the running to be on a television show. The members of the Salon Space staff were all personally interviewed on camera. Stay tuned to see what happens! On Sunday, July 6th, Salon Space staff, clients, and friends took a trip to the Pavilion in Old Lyme. Steve Tobey was performing live with The Zoo (MTV’s Ultimate Cover Band). It was a fun, memorable day in the sun. Pictures will be coming soon!

This week, Salon Space is having a model call for media and advertising purposes.

Both female and male models may apply. A benefit of being a model at Salon Space is discounted hair services during educational classes. We are looking to release our current trend collection that will be published in late summer.

Salon Space is excited to welcome our newest member to the family. Kristina Manning is an experienced stylist and Mac Pro Makeup artist. She has come to hang out with us on a couple of occasions already and the vote was unanimus, she is a perfect fit!

Salon Space would like to announce the arrival of Donna Bella hair extentions. These extentions are made out of 100% real human hair and are reusable up to 3 times. The extensions can be treated just like your own hair; you can use your blowdryer, curling iron, or flat iron on them! Donna bella extensions can be put in using one of two possible bonding techniques. Beaded bonding is very popular because they won't damage your hair, are easy to remove, and cost less than keratin bonded extensions. Keratin bonding is also offered, and will make the extensions last much longer than beaded extensions.

Friday May 2nd, we had our first annual Salon Space night of beauty. The event combined physical, mental, and emotional health options.

There was a packed house for an evening of physical and mental refreshment. Guests enjoyed gourmet food, fine wine, women’s apparel and jewelry and that was just the tangible side. On the flip side, guests enjoyed chair massages, reiki sessions from a Reiki master, hypnosis, and party planning tips.
