Everyone is on a budget this year, so here are some simple cost effective ways to spice up your hair for the holidays.  

“Accessories from Aunt Aggie”

Remember that ugly broche or pin your great aunt aggie gave you? Dig it out and use a bobby pin to secure it to your hair for a economic holiday accessory .  Remember to tease the area underneath where you want to secure the broche so the bobby pin has something to hold onto. That ugly broche just became the talk of the party and only you and your great aunt aggie will know its original intention.

 Need some ideas where to place your new accessory?  

Classic bob: Try a deep side part and tuck one side behind your ear.    

Ponytail: Take a small section from your ponytail and wrap it around the hair tie. Secure with bobby pin, and place in broche where desired, now not only do you have an accessory but no one will see that ugly hair tie.     

French Twist: Place broche next to the French twist along the seam.   

P.S. With a  glue gun and a few broken earrings you can add to a headband or a bow and create your own unique accessory.
